Tyler Bewley
artist, educator, father & avid surfer
A San Francisco Bay Area native, I am an endlessly curious creative whose identities as an artist, K-12 arts educator, father, avid surfer, and amateur musician all inspire my work.
Many aspects of my evolving personality, passions, and interests are reflected throughout my art—from early explorations of the environment and sustainability to a later focus on the ever-changing nature of the ocean to the most recent, more playful series of storybook animals and whimsical children’s prints.
Just as one takes on many roles, identities, and forms of expression in life, I take on many projects. My continuously evolving style, process, and themes are always rooted in a genuine curiosity about an element within the artistic process.
Street cred: I graduated with a B.A. in Arts from Skidmore College. My work has been exhibited widely and featured in a variety of literary publications. I live with my two girls in San Francisco.
